Kathie Lee Gifford once asked Martin Short about his wife "are you still in love?", not knowing she died a year ago. He said "madly in love". When asked why he didn't correct her, he said he didn't want to embarrass her on live television and that his answer was the truth anyway.
William Friedkin talks about he works with actors; Tommy Lee Jones and Benicio del Toro in "The Hunted" and Nick Nolte in "Blue Chips". Hilarious stuff as usual.
I know his other interview with Nicolas Refn and that "Citizen Kane/Only God Forgives" exchange is more popular but give this interview a look as well. William Friedkin was always hilarious, insightful and wildly entertaining. And a brilliant filmmaker. RIP
Christopher Walken - one of the greatest actors ever - has no computer, no cellphone, can't swim, doesn't go to crowded places, loves cooking, loves his cats, scared of guns, amazing dancer and is just a nice guy all around. Oh and his favourite curse words? here you go:

Lipton usually tried to keep a straight face but I like how he lost it several times here. Especially when Hugh was describing how Renee Zellweger got her Bridget Jones accent.
Peter Bogdanovich directed Sidney Poitier in an underseen sequel to "To Sir, with Love". Peter called Sidney as one of the most "responsible, professional, prepared, on time, open-minded, approachable" actors he had ever worked with. RIP

"For me, the female body is extremely inspiring and beautiful. When I was in high school in Holland, my art teacher said: The breast of a woman is the most beautiful thing in the world. I never forgot that, and I’ve always felt that way." (from his 2015 Rolling Stone interview.)
@ZiebarthDean
I particularly love this performance of "King Tut" where he shows that he's also a talented guitarist and gives us this epic guitar solo.
Willem Dafoe is gonna star in his

director Sean Baker's new film. He also sort of confirmed that Nicolas Cage and Isabelle Huppert will be in a new Abel Ferrara film "Siberia", to be premiered in Berlinale.
@mattzollerseitz
Michael Keaton was basically a comedy star in the 80s. An important factor behind why people opposed his Batman casting. After "Batman", he started to get more dramatic and darker roles.
@TheInSneider
It's an inspiring and unexpected choice. Would be boring if we got Jonah Hill or Josh Gad or whatever. Farrell is an actor with great range, I'm intrigued what he'll do
@thejoshl
"I got into it with Val on the set and I told him, “I’ve never going to another planet with you again!” But we’re cool now and friends." - Sizemore, 2014

Are these people seriously think Whedon gets the same amount of hate Heard gets? I don't think I ever see "liar!", "abuser!" hashtags about any of these men. I'm pretty sure Anthony Rapp gets more harassment than Spacey.

@keeponsmiIin
@brendengallager
He's currently starring in a western show ("1883") where almost half of the season is directed by a woman. Obviously his issue is not the director being a female.
@Srirachachau
On paper, both Mulder and Hank Moody feels like people I won't like to know in life but Duchovny brings so much likeability into these roles, which is why he's great I guess.
If Little Women be released earlier, Saoirse Ronan would build enough of buzz for her incredible performance to finally win the Oscar. I hope

will give her the boost she needs on Sunday.

Madchen Amick's broom dance alone makes it worth to watch. Thank you so much for everything you do for horror cinema, Mick. Much appreciated.
@ZoeRoseBryant
Incredible line-up and I'm thinking of those who didn't get a nom: Kidman (To Die For), Julianne Moore (Safe), Kathy Bates (Dolores Claiborne), Alicia Silverstone (Clueless), Jennifer Jason Leigh (Georgia), Lili Taylor (The Addiction). Just wow. Amazing year for lead actresses.

Bril episode. Mick was a great actor but impossible to love as a person. Didn't want his first wife to work also, he threatened Dafoe & Friedkin when she got a part in "To Live and Die in LA". Controlling, jealous man... just like a certain pirate...
will check out Carré's book
@TV_Fanatic_Girl
Star in "The Lost Boys" and I think very few people here would know that the actress who portrays her is probably the richest actress in the world, with net worth of two billions.
@edgarwright
And this week I'll watch the only film, I believe, that stars Beth Harmon, Queen Philippa of Denmark, General Zod, Bond's wife and Bond's masseuse. Sounds good.

Really hope he won't be part of anything I'm interested in watching. I remember he was on Graham Norton for "Orient Express" and it was taking him a year to finish a sentence. But I guess humanity deserves this punishment.
@mattzollerseitz
Love it. He was an amazing romantic leading man. Wish he'd get more chances to do it. When you dig down his filmography and watch lesser-known films like "Dominick and Eugene", "Article 99", "Control", and "Unforgettable", his versatility gets even more evident. What a career.

No worries. He once said Brokeback Mountain "is not a western" also, even though it was a "beautiful film" and was glad about Ang's Oscar win.
Had the pleasure of speaking with an actor who is in Walter Hill's as-yet-unreleased western Dead for a Dollar. He was adamant that he could not discuss the plot, but assured me, "If you like his Westerns, you're gonna lose your goddamn mind over this."
@mavericksmovies
Maybe because "The Green Mile" and "Iron Man 2" are his most widely seen films? it's like how they always assosicate Dafoe with villains because "Spider-Man" comes first to mind rather than "Platoon" or "Last Temptation of Christ".
Just when I thought
#RobertDeNiro
may miss the Oscar nom due to a stacked category, then that telephone scene happens. What a year for Best Actor.

@TomiLaffly
Loving her project choices. She's now Marilyn Monroe in Dominik's "Blonde", a Bond Girl, is also in Adrien Lyne's thriller, and has just worked with Assayas. Very excited to see more of her.
@BrndnStrssng
Cage will take this and I'm okay with it but Travolta's hammy villain performances are so underrated. They're always a delight. This one, "Broken Arrow", "In a Valley of Violence". He's always entertaining to watch.
