Yet all too often, America's beautiful #beaches are polluted with nasty bacteria. Our #Safe4Swimming report shows which beaches had frequent pathogen problems - including in #Alabama. @MobileBaykeeper @AlabamaRivers
As Americans flock to their favorite #beach this weekend, I'm reminded of what @FrankLuntz told us more than 20 years ago: "Young and old, Democrat AND Republican, the demand for clean water is universal."

So it makes no sense to cut funding for the clean #water state revolving fund. See @HouseAppropsGOP bill at page 88 -

Thx @MatthewCappucci. This is a perfect example of why we need to invest in green infrastructure that absorbs, heavy rainfall and prevents flooding.
This is what a quick 4-6 inches in 2 hours will do, particularly when storms stall over heavily paved-over regions with impermeable surfaces. Locally significant urban flooding continues on the north side of D.C.; not a great night to drive around.

There is another crucial reason to celebrate the end of this case: Exxon and its supporters were urging the Court to dramatically curtail the ability of citizens to enforce our environmental laws when public officials refuse to do so. #SCOTUS declined the invitation.
It's finally over. After 15 years, and many wins at the district and circuit level, today SCOTUS rejected Exxon's appeal and the company will finally be held accountable for thousands of air pollution violations at its Baytown complex.
