For those who don’t know, Sharon Daley (@Finaction) died peacefully yesterday with her family by her side. She lived life to the max and the world is definitely worse off without her kindness, generosity and immense fun. Rest in peace my lovely friend.

Our new report out today finds that some of the most vulnerable older people in Great Britain face ‘impossible choices’ around heating or eating and are worried about how to survive the winter as a result of the government’s decision.

Older people in disadvantaged communities face impossible health choices between heating and eating. We are calling on the Chancellor to cancel the proposed changes to Winter Fuel Payment eligibility. https://t.co/oCXkqZ9G07

Michael Nagac from @kanlunganuk talks about importance of providing support for women facing violence in one of many East and South East Asian languages. Exploring trauma is hard, made harder if not in language you feel most comfortable with. @London_cf @MOPACLdn

We are very excited by this partnership with @NIHRSPHR. It will produce invaluable data and insight around third sector involvement in reducing health inequalities.
We are collaborating with @NIHRSPHR to assess voluntary sector schemes addressing health inequalities. The Voluntary Sector Evaluation Scheme pilot will focus on discrimination and health and jobs, young people and health. Read more: https://t.co/3hWts8ajDR

Without the proper resourcing, millions of private and social renters will continue living in homes that do not meet basic levels of decency. Read our community manifesto for more on what we want to see delivered: https://t.co/SEnn0TGONn.

The commitment to strengthen the enforcement powers for local councils is a critical step towards improving tenants' health. The government must also ensure that local authorities have a fair funding settlement, so that they can adequately enforce existing and new standards.

We also welcome the intention to apply the Decent Homes Standards to the private rented sector. Living in a safe and decent home is an essential building block of health yet millions of private and social renters are living in homes that do not meet basic levels of decency.

We know that poor housing affects health and we welcome the focus on housing conditions in today’s #KingsSpeech with the introduction of the Renters Rights Bill and the abolition of section 21 no fault evictions. https://t.co/Wrd31hwIwT

This blog well worth a read. Great summary of ten years of wellbeing evidence and, crucially, amazing influencing. Includes links to where the evidence now housed to ensure remains available to all. Great work @WhatWorksWB and @Work_Life_You
It turns out you can do quite a lot in ten years. An amazing round up of the more than 90 collaborations and the changes that are happening as a result. Thank you

Our recent work in Yorkshire and Manchester highlights the appalling housing conditions people are living in and that's why we are calling on the Government to properly resource the enforcement of housing standards in the private rented sector.
One in five private rented homes in England don’t meet decency standards. We’re calling on the government to properly resource the enforcement of housing standards in the private rented sector so that people’s health is not threatened by unfit conditions. https://t.co/Q2ySvUgRaj

Today's tax cuts need to be seen in the context of fourteen years of cuts to public services, worsening population health, low productivity growth and a cost of living driving families to breaking point.

We're taking mental health outdoors. Very happy to be launching Nature for Health pot supporting people with poor mental health into natural spaces/activities. We know that more access to nature means more years of healthy life. https://t.co/AbmNZxdYud

Very excited we are launching this today. We have been discussing the big issues in neighbourhoods across Britain with grassroots community organisations over a number of months to bring this all together. Their insights and expertise sit at the heart of these calls to action.
Today we’re launching our Community manifesto for health justice. We need the next government to put in place the building blocks of health. And we need urgent action. 🧵 https://t.co/GE0S8Klwio
