Mamdani wants to raise taxes on every New Yorker not just the rich. His corporate tax hike to 11.5% will eliminate the one comparative advantage New York City had over its neighbors. Every worker will bear the cost as businesses leave and those who stay will endure raised prices.

Makes sense

Mamdani’s policies—specifically an 11.5% corporate income tax hike to and a 2% income penalty tax on high earners—will lead to population exodus and wealth flight in NYC. The City needs to empower businesses and residents with lower taxes and deregulation leading to lower costs.
