Something tells me we’re headed away from petty bullshit in this rivalry and more towards damn good football. For everyone’s sake, I hope to be right.

As a Michigan State fan, this makes me uncomfortable. Believe it or not, more uncomfortable than Dillingham or DeBoer.

Horrendous way to spend Christmas. But the Lions will be better off from this loss long term. A revealing few weeks that leaves them no choice when it comes to changes for next season.

A lost season for the Lions. Frustrating to waste a season with this core but the organization is still in a great spot overall. The NFL is a beast and the Lions haven’t evolved enough to keep up. Gotta right those wrongs this offseason.

15th game of the year and it may be time to call it as we see it. The Lions stink.

The Detroit Lions move to 0-398 when it comes to needing help for postseason positioning.

Not that it *really* matters, but I don’t understand how the heaters on the Packers sideline just stop working without the Bears knowing. They literally showed them just plugged into propane tanks? How is that dependent on anything other than the tanks being full?

JMU and Tulane getting boat raced. It’ll generate a lot of conversation about the format at the inclusion of G5 teams. But don’t forget, last year, Tennessee, SMU, and Oregon (a round later) were all beaten like a drum. It’s going to happen.

Very questionable call to run a fake punt in a game where field position is the most valuable commodity.

Who knows if this will work but if he’s good enough for Alabama, then he should be plenty good for Michigan State. Regardless, you can see Pat Fitzgerald is going outside his Northwestern circle to assemble his staff. Already alleviating one concern.

NEWS: #MichiganState is set to hire #Alabama co-offensive coordinator Nick Sheridan as OC, sources tell @SpartanTailgate & @mzenitz. As playcaller, Sheridan’s Tide offense averaged 33.8 PPG in 2024. He developed Mike Penix at Indiana. More (FREE): https://t.co/OBF3NYYD0j

If Miami wins this game, that sequence with the red zone stand followed by the blocked kick might be the reason.

Concepcion hanging onto that punt might be the most impressive football play we see all weekend.

34-7 Alabama over the last 2.5 quarters is insanely impressive on the road. Indiana/Alabama has to be the most compelling quarterfinal matchup.

That kick was… good? How have we not extended the length of the uprights to keep up with the advancement in kicking?

This game has been so much fun. Helps that it’s high scoring and competitive. But the on campus element just adds to everything that we love about college football. Gotta find a way to make more playoff games on campus.
