Consider a UK-Poland-Lviv route. Lviv is in 🇺🇦 but far enough away to still be cheap - yet drivable. Zhytomyr is 85 miles from Kiev, with hotels from £20. Stay there and drive.

I was treated by a brilliant Iranian doctor at 2am today. On the way out I said I was sorry about the UK’s climate of racism, that I hope he feels welcome and valued and that he’s a credit to he NHS. A tear in his eye, he gave a handshake like a hug. Articulated gratitude matters
