The punt was obvious. Why risk a return when you're thin with a few injuries versus Vikings starting at their 20? Waitman would've had to punt short and high to pin inside the 20 from where he was kicking too.

Danny Smith said that it was by plan to have Corliss Weightman punt out the end zone late in the game. Also, the reason why they called timeout before the first onside kick was because Vikings kicker never had an onside kick attempt in his career dating back to college, so there

If you’re Irish, I can’t imagine a more compelling argument for making a trip to the Keystone State than this representation of Gritty, Ben Franklin and T.J. Watt. The bar scene in Dublin is well worth the trip to this side of the pond.
