Whenever I cut a jalapeno in half, I taste a piece to judge the heat. It doesn't seem too hot so I add the whole thing. So do the different sides of peppers have different heat? And what are the odds that I always taste the lesser side? Asking for my burnt gizzard.

So yesterday at a celebration of life at the widow’s house someone asked me for my card. “Huh?” was my response. “You’re the caterer right?” “Nope, just a friend that offered to help with the food.”
