Wayne Niederhauser will retire on Dec. 5, 2025 after completing his tenure as Utah’s first State Homeless Coordinator. His legacy includes years of public service, highlighted by six years as senate president and nearly five years leading the state’s homelessness response.

As we head into fall, Utah's job market is healthy. The economy is growing and unemployment is low. For the year ending in August, job counts grew by 1.9% (adding 33,600 jobs) and unemployment remained at 3.3%.
