If the Broncos designate Russell Wilson a June 1st cut they can move on for a $39,000,000 dead cap hit this offseason.
I'm not saying, but I'm just saying.
When the Broncos retired John Elway's 7, Pat Bowlen said "Sometimes there is a player that becomes so important to us and so much our hero that his number and name become synonymous."
88 is synonymous with Demaryius Thomas.
It should be retired.
The NFL made a practice squad receiver play quarterback on less than 24 hours notice last year.
During the predictably awful game the Broncos lost their best corner to injury, so no, I don't have any sympathy for teams facing Sunday down players due to Covid-19.
So Noah Fant found out he was traded to the Seahawks by seeing it on TV.
He also felt misused by Pat Shurmur and wishes the Broncos would have used him as a downfield threat more often.
By the end of week 17, the Broncos were missing

Von Miller and Courtland Sutton combined to play 31 snaps.
4 QB* started games this season.
We saw 4 different right tackles.
Fangio deserves patience.
This game meant a lot to Nathaniel Hackett for sure. Coaches are lining up to congratulate him on the win.
Sean Payton called Hackett one of the worst head coaches of all time.
Hackett got the last laugh today.
This Broncos season has been extremely disappointing.
Rather than stew on it, I want share four players I've been extremely pleased with so far:
1. Patrick Surtain II
2. Caden Sterns
3. Baron Browning
4. Bradley Chubb
If Drew Lock can't handle Kareem Jackson, Jerry Jeudy, or any other member of the Broncos recruiting Deshaun Watson he has one way to respond.
Improve.
Is the arrow pointing up for the
#Broncos
in 2020?
-Roughly $70 M in cap room after Flacco & Leary are cut.
-5 picks in the top 100 picks of the NFL Draft.
-Fangio calling shots on D.
-Youngest starting offense by end of '19
-Bradley Chubb returns.
-Oh yeah, and Drew Lock 😎
I've suffered through the entire post-Peyton era, even spending hours of free time studying offenses built around guys like Drew Lock, Case Keenum, and Brandon Allen.
This Russell Wilson offense is killing my interest in Broncos football. 😂
These are the days I dreamed of when the Broncos traded for Sean Payton.
In his second game against the Chiefs he ended the 16-game losing streak despite Russell Wilson.
Coaching matters.
