As we remember the 1.5 million victims of the Armenian Genocide, we remember that each victim had a family, a story, a reason for living. It is the undeniable truth that their lives were taken. No amount of denial can erase this heartbreaking fact. We honor those who died.

Through the years I have been invited by my Jewish friends to join them for their Passover Seder. The experience has drawn me closer to the Jewish tradition of liberty and freedom for all God’s people. I treasure those times and wish all a Happy Passover.

Two special followers of Jesus were given special treatment after his resurrection. Mary Magdalene the first to encounter the Risen Lord. And Simon Peter given the the chance to redeem his three denials by answering to Jesus three times, “You know that I love you.”

Operation Babylift, April 4, 1975. Our adopted son BJ survived this crash 50 years ago today as he and hundreds were being evacuated from Vietnam to the United States. He has grown up to be an honorable man of God, and a blessing to our family.

If it had not been for Operation Babylift, he would be in a Communist country, behind a water buffalo in a rice paddy. Instead, he is in the USA, married, owns his own business and home, and is free. God bless our BJ, and the USA, a country of hope and possibilities.

Yes, BJ was dropped into our family 50 years ago by Operation Babylift. And yes, his new home brought him love and security, and us a son we dearly love. But his new life with us gave Sharon and I a fresh, closeup appreciation for the blessings of being an American.

Sharon and I joyfully - and miraculously - welcomed BJ to our family. He has been a dear blessing to us, and to so many others. We love him dearly.

He was later airlifted to the Presidio in San Francisco when President Ford ordered Operation Baby Lift that evacuated thousands of orphans to their new homes in America.

Yesterday was National Vietnam War Veterans Day. To our Vietnam Veterans, thank you so, so much for your service and sacrifice. Our oldest son, BJ, was orphaned in that war. When Saigon was being evacuated, it was 2 US GIs who took him to an orphanage where he was cared for.

Today is National Medal of Honor Day established by Congress in 1990. The date marks the anniversary of the first Medal of Honor recipient in 1863 to honor the courage these heroes showed above & beyond the call of duty. Today there are 61 living recipients of the Medal of Honor.

Congrats to Christina Musson for being recognized by the GRACIES as the Best Female Co-Host in the United States - Midsize Market - for the 3rd year in a row. The Gracie Award, from the Alliance for Women in Media, honors the best of the best. Maybe a 4th? Stay tuned.

Beautiful photo yesterday of Huntington Lake after the snowfall. A good expectation for our water runoff, as well as a good sign my favorite fishing lake will be alive with rainbow trout. We really do live in a magnificent location.

Justice. At last. A shameful betrayal of their investors, employees, and our city, county, and region. Co-founders behind Bitwise collapse in Fresno report to prison to serve fraud sentences.

They bilked investors out of nearly $115 million as they propped up the failing tech and real estate company.
