Served with Ernest for 6 years in the House. He was so kind, intelligent, and compassionate. Never let Party or politics stand in the way of progress. He will be missed. Prayers for his family.
This week, the House passed a memorial resolution to honor the life of former House Speaker G. Ernest Cunningham, who served from 1969 to 1999 and was Speaker from 1987 to 1989. He passed away on June 11th. Members extend their heartfelt condolences to his family.
