What is there to stop someone whose knowledge of Irish might be no greater than Gregory Campbell's claiming in the census that they are fluent in the language?

What's to stop anyone from lying about a detail on the census? The potential provision of false information on a census is hardly something that would concern only information in respect of the Irish language. Besides, isn't there a law against providing false census information?

It doesnt stop them pretending to be someone else to vote multiple times in elections, why would it be any different for them to lie on census forms ?
