Proper old school track and lightweight non-hybridised supercar is a pretty good combo. Also, is this thing still on? I used to really like this place.

Bored of videos showing people drag racing and kicking trucks thinking it’s the best thing ever? How about @JethroBovingdon destroying some Pirellis as he reviews a @McLarenAuto 750S instead? https://t.co/A36O2ddWGI 📸 @DeanSmithphoto 📽️@samgriley

It’s 2023, right? And the ICE ban comes in 2035 in UK and Europe and California? Assuming it’s not put back further. And nobody has really proven the market for EV sportscars? Just checking.

If you ever wondered why 911s are so hard to look past… Just went to Tesco with my 15, 13 and 11 yr olds, packed five bags into the front and drove home in quiet comfort. Pretty impressive supercar attributes! Also makes you wonder why GT3 T isn’t available with rear seats.

Browsing the @IconicAuc stuff @silverstonefest Loads of cool old stuff but if you’re in the market for a new hot hatch, this is the one. 300-miles from new. Est £22-26k. What a fantastic car.

Just specced a new Boxster Spyder RS and it came out at £164,597. Wow. Now wondering if the gorgeous and brilliant original 987 Spyder is the only bargain left in the world of limited/special Porsches. Although finding a manual is annoyingly difficult!

This could be a good straight swap for somebody with a 911 S/T allocation.

The Holy Grail. The GTO. This is the only factory-owned Series I GTO raced by the Scuderia Ferrari, and was driven by Parkes and Bandini for the Scuderia Ferrari at the 1962 24 Hours of Le Mans. It will now be sold in New York on 13 November 2023. https://t.co/qEie8evgfY

Ok, real talk. If you haven't heard about 'eff won with DRS', an F1 podcast by Dax Shepard and a bunch of other fun, goofy people: you're missing out. Watch this clip from their most recent episode: It's freaking hilarious 🤣🤣 @matthewstylist @charcurtis2 @JethroBovingdon

Still on a high from first proper track outing in the 996 at Goodwood @evomagazine trackday. It was so good. Tiny little things to sort but feels so OE. How do @Litchfield_UK do it? Who knows, but very happy about it. And just listen! Very different to GT3 sound but just as cool.

Excited to try this. Loved the madness of A45 engine… sounds a bit tamer in Emira-spec but surely just a little ECU tweak away from the full turbo nutter experience.

Very much not a Touring. But did 500 miles in it yesterday without too much of an issue. Even has two cup holders! Not sure I’m on board with blue wheels. All black with silver wheels would be the spec. Shape is mad enough without all the contrasting details!

New 911 S/T sounds very tasty. And 1380kg inc fluids and 90percent fuel is pretty mega. My 996 is 1368kg on full tanks. How many other cars have only put on a few kg in 25 years!? But I wonder whether a simple 911 Carrera is the most ‘limited edition’ of all 992s?

Reading the latest @evomagazine and it’s making me want an A110 R quite a lot. Wish they’d paint some of the carbon but it’s such a cool thing. Those wheels! Haven’t tried it yet but sounds pretty fabulous. How good does this Le Mans edition look?

I’ve read a lot about the new Lotus Eletre. But my favourite is that ‘it’s a g-force hungry apex wrestler.’ Which brightened up my morning no end.

Now in a Prius taxi (can’t bear to go into details) doing 100mph towards Milan, heavy techno playing and phone strapped to dash showing YouTube videos of Toyota Supras doing donuts and flying through tunnels. Things have picked up.

Imagine a world where a hire car desk could serve more than one customer every 45 mins. An unthinkable paradise. Maybe after world hunger we will finally solve this one.

A few more miles in the 996 today. I think maybe we will need to back the spring rates off a bit. BUT… the engine is sooooo good. And the actual balance is perfect. Very happy.

Collected the Porsche from @Litchfield_UK again after tweaks to power steering, plus we did some road set-up work on the KW Clubsports. Still a very hardcore thing (no rubber left in the suspension) but feels much more stable and composed now. Track set-up next.

People have gone all the way to San Francisco to drive the RS6 and RS7 Performance. Luckily they already have UK press cars… Anyway, the 22s seem reasonable, no?
