The departure of Kristi Noem closes a troubling chapter at the Department of Homeland Security. But real change will take more than replacing one person with another. Our country deserves immigration policies grounded in dignity, accountability, and respect for the immigrant
President Trump ousts Kristi Noem as Homeland Security chief and names Oklahoma Sen. Markwayne Mullin as her replacement. https://t.co/0bgpstzG19

Climate leadership only works if it delivers for working people. That means lowering energy costs, building resilient infrastructure, and creating good union jobs right here in New York. We can protect our planet and make life more affordable. The work is making both happen.
A group of 29 state senators, led off by @LizKrueger, sent a letter to @GovKathyHochul this morning saying they “categorically oppose any effort to roll back New York’s nation leading climate law” and urging Hochul to “stand strong in the face of misinformation” re affordability

The growing escalation in the Middle East is deeply concerning. Every life lost is a tragedy that reverberates far beyond the zones of conflict. As tensions intensify and the human toll rises, the international community must urgently pursue de-escalation, protect civilian

Don McCaffrey is one of our own, a proud Jackson Heights neighbor standing up for the dignity of working people. The members of @32BJSEIU keep New York’s buildings running and our neighborhoods safe. They deserve a contract that respects the work they do every day. Queens
A strong contract recognizing the essential workers who make #NYC home. As a member of the bargaining committee, that's what Donald McCaffrey is fighting for. #WeMakeNYCHome.

Yesterday’s ribbon cutting represents a real investment in working people. Access to good jobs and career support should never depend on your ZIP code. This new Career Center will connect New Yorkers to free employment services, training opportunities, and the tools they need to

In another big win this week, @jessicaramosqns moved the Labor Law Enforcement Parity Act through the Senate. It ensures that workers in class action wage theft cases filed in state court can recover all available damages. In @NYSA_Majority, it's carried by AM @HarryBBronson
Work should pay. It sounds basic. But for too many New Yorkers, wage theft has been harder to challenge because of technical barriers in the law. We passed S4473 today, the Labor Law Enforcement Parity Act, to restore enforcement parity and make clear that workers can recover

THANK YOU to @jessicaramosqns for moving her Anti-Waiver of Employment Rights Act through the Senate, so employers can't require workers to "agree" to shorten the time to file wage theft & discrimination claims It's now on the @NYSA_Majority floor, carried by AM @HarryBBronson
Work should come with dignity and fairness built in. We passed S4424A, the Anti-Waiver of Employment Rights Act, to stop employers from hiding clauses that strip workers of their legal protections. No one should lose the ability to fight discrimination, harassment, or wage theft
