Now the first book is finally out in the world. Still surreal seeing characters that lived in my head for years start meeting readers.

So has Cast.

Luna’s grown quite a bit since my first concept sketches of her.

Eight months ago I finished the final epilogue of the trilogy. The only things that Double, Cast, and Luna share with their first draft counterparts are their names. It’s been a long fourteen years.

The story stopped being about watching a strong character be strong. It became about the journey of a morally weak character become strong enough to be a hero.

Over the years Stormborn changed a lot. The politics deepened. The characters became more complicated, changed names, changed roles. The stakes got higher.
