Before she died, Bonnie had a normal day. She scarfed down a big 'ol breakfast, ate treats, took naps and romped in the snow. She slept between me and my wife last night.
She was totally herself, carrying shoes around as trophies and happy as hell.

It’s possible I somehow subconsciously knew this would happen, that our loving dog with the big belly and the curly white fur would depart too soon. I don’t know. I just love her and we are devastated and, frankly, I’m not sure how I’m going to get through this.

We’re not exactly sure what happened. Our vet thinks it was probably an undiagnosed heart condition. She was a little more than 2.5 years old. She didn’t have any known health issues.
