At today’s GM the branch passed a motion to take local, targeted strike action if the university continues to impose punitive and unlawful 50% deductions on members taking part in the MAB. This action will target clearing, open days and induction.

MAB UPDATE We’ve met with SLT and while we are disappointed that they are unwilling to move from 50% deductions we are pleased that they have taken our concerns on board about the reporting form, when deductions begin, and asking staff to cover for colleagues
