This is happening in Florida. People have been quietly detained at ICE field offices in Leon County and at their processing office in Miramar. Another example of DHS/ICE operating black site style detention practices.

Since sheriffs are the ultimate policy-makers of their department, this means the official policy of this department is to randomly arrest people for speech -- that is not protected by QI.
So does qualified immunity cover a sheriff who sits down with the local news to explain that he knew no crime was committed but needed to arrest someone anyways because he couldn’t bully them out of protected speech

Agreeing with the expert from Cato! I think when parts of the left argue that "immigration depresses wages" they are covering for anti-immigrant sentiment.
This is completely correct, and we've been saying this for a while: anti-immigration sentiment is not an economic phenomenon. Left-wingers are just trying to layer left-wing economic theory onto the immigration issue to avoid charges of xenophobia.

Too bad no one “extends grace” to combat veterans who were executed by the government and the many more in prison.
And as I say in the piece, I was raised by a combat vet and I think I’m more disposed to extend grace there than some. I also believe the question “who can beat Collins” is most important. But I also don’t begrudge anyone who says enough is enough. Like I said, read and decide.
