Got to talk with @donnyosmond about all things STAR WARS and his brothers turning Stormtroopers into vaudevillian dancers on Donny & Marie in 1977.
When the "Star Wars" characters appeared on "Donny & Marie" in September 1977, film receipts spiked 25%, convincing George Lucas that TV was a great way to promote his franchise, paving the way to the Star Wars Holiday Special. Donny was not accepting any of that responsibility.
