Well, they got the big kidney stone (a 3 centimeter one!) -- but several smaller ones weren't reachable yesterday and observed today on CT. So, going back in the OR in an hour to have these deleted

@NWSEureka Simply put: Northern California DOESN'T get tornadoes very often at all. Let this be a reminder though that it CAN absolutely happen.

Correction: They went through 3/4 of Bush 43's administration, not half. The previous tornado warning within @NWSEureka's CWA was issued at 10:45am on December 14, 2002!

How's this for rare: Yesterday, @NWSEureka issued their first tornado warning in over 23 YEARS. They went through about half of the Bush administration, and all of Obama, Trump's 1st, and Biden's presidencies, as well as the first year of Trump's 2nd with NO tornado warnings.

Today's council vote, 7-2 with both of the council members representing constituents along the road against it, may hinder this plan. I am disheartened to hear that my councilmember voted for this resolution. I would hope that common sense will eventually prevail...

That plan includes better biking and walking infrastructure in the city supported by bond projects and MAPS. I remind you as well that OKC's most recent bond vote did include bike lanes (though not necessarily on Classen).

Speaking as a person in a wheelchair, this is disastrous when it comes to OKC's Vision Zero plans. Vision Zero envisions zero fatal accidents in the city and zero fatalities. It's a plan that was only adopted 10 months ago.

A reminder before I start on this: My views DO NOT reflect those of my employer. Today, OKC City Council passed a resolution banning construction of a bike lane on Classen Blvd IF it results in the loss of a travel lane.

So far have broken two temperature records today in OKC & Lawton. As of 2 PM Wichita Falls is two degrees from tying their record. Still a couple more hours of heating left so could happen. Records are also forecasted on Christmas Day and Friday & Saturday #okwx #texomawx
