Like most things, this unjustified #tariff war will only hurt the poorest and most vulnerable most. Higher prices mean more hunger, more expensive housing, less relief. We’ve got to be there for our community, now more than ever.

I covered the abduction of little Kienan Hiebert in 2011, and spoke with his family many times during the heart wrenching search and manhunt. I remember the fear in town as omnipresent. As a parent now, I can’t imagine living through that again.

This Thanksgiving I met Gideon. As a high school student he worked several jobs to help his family pay bills. After connecting with @Restcentre, he found rent subsidies & food supports, and avoided homelessness. Today he celebrated Thanksgiving, working on his dream of College!
