Internationalist. EU citizen, Labour voter. If I was American I'd be a Democrat. Truth matters/Integrity endures. I stand with Ukraine & Zelensky #SlavaUkraïni

Love this photo. @EmmanuelMacron and @Keir_Starmer are focused on @ZelenskyyUa with huge respect and support. These men have class. I reckon the Pope's spirit is with them. @realDonaldTrump trying to look like he's included. But he's not. Powerful stuff. 🇺🇦🇫🇷🇬🇧 #SlavaUkraïni.

Chief Whip Simon Hart told Lindsay Hoyle that the Reform bribe to senior MP's salary is a guarantee of 5 years MP salary if they lose their seat after defecting. That's about £430,000. No wonder #30pLee changed his mind. He can do nothing for 5 years and still get paid.

An BBC insider said "There was possibly a bit of over-caution, which felt a bit over the top to most people in news". No kidding. That was one of the best shows; @CliveMyrieBBC was outstandingly funny. It's satire, for heaven's sake @BBCNews .

@Pappiness You're kinder than I am, Nick. I'm not sorry for them. They voted with their eyes wide open for a man who mocked a journalist with a disability, boasted about his sexual abuse, who has used and abused people all his life.

Keir Starmer has overtaken Boris Johnson in the latest poll. Just as exciting is that Labour is now more trusted than the Conservatives over the Covid-19 response. #KeirStarmer #KeirForPM #BorisJohnsonMustGo .

God Almighty. The SNP has had a resounding victory. And the question asked of Ian Blackford on @SkyNews is, why did Labour make gains in Glasgow? How about huge congratulations and tell us what the SNP is doing right?.

@HelloCanada This is such a great photo. People who love to hate Harry say he doesn't belong in the family. What rubbish. It's his family; of course he belongs. That family has always had conflict.

@stengel @RRalstonAgile Mike Pence is cold and calculating. A one-man horror show. Donald Trump and his family make me feel ill and dirty just watching them but Mike Pence really scares me.

@BethRigby I think Sunak came off as desperate and rude but Starmer came across as a decent human being.

Lisa Nandy is brilliant. If Keir Starmer gets a fine and resigns, she would be a great replacement. She's articulate, well-informed, totally committed, quick witted and afraid of nobody.
Lisa Nandy to Jonathan Gullis(Tory MP). "If he cared one iota for his constituency. he'd be asking Michael Gove where the missing £27m has gone. We have heard plenty from him, & it's about time that he listened."

@lucyallan I'd never even remotely associate 'brave' with Suella Braverman. 'Self-serving' is more like it. 'Power avaricious', 'blatant liar' 'intellectually challenged' come to mind.

@ZoeSchiffer I think it's hilarious that Mr. Free Speech is consumed with paranoia that the employees he has treated like dirt will speak freely on the platform he now wants to shut down free speech on. The title of the movie could be The Unravelling.

This should be the real reason @RishiSunak has blocked Stanley Johnson, and Sunak should have openly said so in all the media the minute Johnson submitted his honours list.

BBC, SkyNews, Sunday Morning, Daily Mail, Mail on Sunday et al should all attend a masterclass by @mattgreencomedy to see what they sound and look like, either actively promoting false equivalence or conveniently ignoring it. Thanks for the entertainment Matt!.

@Zero_4 Good on him for speaking honestly. Coffey had a simple solution if she didn't want to feel the strain. She could have said "I'm not doing this. I'm not going to lie to the people whose interests we are supposed to be representing.".

Watching #BBCLauraK's Sunday show creates gut-clenching anxiety for me. I just can't stand the dishonesty of her approach; her blatant aggressiveness towards anybody who isn't a Tory. Body language, real disrespect in her vocal tone, constant interruptions. Rude.

@Zero_4 That would be the same Tobias Ellwood who posted a video of himself in Afghanistan praising the Taliban for doing a great job - and kind of forgot what they're doing to girls and women.

@icowrich @cynthiarf_says @CrookedHalo @Kkh3grls @_coconono_ @Pappiness I agree Richard. In fact quite a large majjority voted for Hillary Clinton. The awful part about US democracy is that it allows voter suppression and gerrymandering and that the electoral college allows a party to override the will of the people.

@mikeportsmouth @jessphillips Jess Phillips busts a gut working for her constituents & by default for all of us. @oflynnsocial @nickolasdreyfus And I find this tweet irresponsible. We should all care about the endemic racism that still pervades society in the US and in the UK. Fighting against racism isn't a left-right issue, it's a matter for all humanity. With emphasis on "humanity".

@RidgeOnSunday @MattHancock If the past Tory government had spent wisely over the last decade, the NHS would be well prepared for #COVID19. If this govt had established a reputation for telling the truth and being properly informed, at least we could trust them. But it didn't and we can't. #Ridge.

@vicderbyshire @BBCRadio4 I'm a Labour member; I support Keir Starmer and Ed Miliband, but this drives me crazy. It's pandering to the far right. Labour should take a stand for humanity and against prejudice against all immigrants.

Rep Chip Roy, opposed to McCarthy as Speaker, just said to @jaketapper "I hope it will demonstrate that we're all convicted. " . 🤣. Me too, Mr. Roy. I hope you're all convicted, every last man Jack of you. Convicted of running America into the ground.

@dave43law Oh yes! Angela Rayner emerged unscathed from a nasty smear campaign & is going round on the Bus having the time of her life. She's engaging and sharp as a tack. Penny Mordaunt, predicted to lose her seat, is having the worst time of her life. Not hard to predict a winner. 🤣.

@LaindonFEMINIST Me too. I remember how it felt when Labour won that landslide. It was incredible. After that, I didn't watch any of the media. I didn't want them destroying my happiness. I think Starmer and his cabinet are brilliant. It's such a relief to have smart, decent people in government.

@JohannaSaunders History sometimes takes a while to correct propaganda & outright lies but it always does it in the end. This arrogant posturing is empty bragging & spite. Truth is, the majority of journalists/so-called pundits ignored a core fact about the referendum - that it was advisory.

@Haggis_UK I think Streeting did really well today. I loved him saying it's not an attack on the PM, and his wife didn't leave the country once she started paying tax. Perfect response to the perennial excuse for keeping non dom status - that non doms will leave if they have to pay tax.

@ex_pollster @Anna_Soubry I agree. I'm sick of British journalists' politeness and inability to unequivocally report the truth. It feels as if I'm surrounded by dense fog when I listen to them, generally. CNN have been doing a fantastic job with the election.

@BethRigby It's what he said next, and how he ended, that really counts. He ended by saying cheerfully that the era of the illegal Tory parties was when we first got to know him as Chancellor. How was that a humane or in any way appropriate response to a still grieving son?.

@LBC @mrjamesob Freedom of speech should definitely include holding up anti-monarchy placards at a royal funeral. It might be tasteless and insensitive but it can't be illegal. And a policeman's subjective view of whether somebody is distressed or not can't dictate the law.
