Once at Les Mis I asked wardrobe to take my skirt up (kept tripping) she told me that we couldn't just "take the hem up with a machine" because France in 1830s, women wouldn't show a hem. So she hand stitched and invisible hem during interval (about 12 mins). Low skilled my arse.

WELL Last night with no tech and having not even finished cover rehearsals yet, I went on at interval for Eponine. It was a terrifying joy! nothing like live theatre eh?? Every single department and person pulled together. What. A. TEAM.

Absolutely agree!! It takes an entire team of over sometimes over 100 people to put on a big successful show and the cast are only a tiny percentage! Magic couldn’t happen onstage without the people pulling the strings behind us. Simples!

No. It's 2 hours. If you can't escape from your phone for 2 hours, then don't come to the theatre. It's rude and off putting. People must forget that it isn't a movie screen and that there are actual people up there trying to do their job and (ironically) provide escapism🙅♀️
