Plus, those who use self checkouts are volunteering to be a cashier without any employee discounts and they're taking jobs away from other people, helping to increase the unemployment rate or keep it from reducing. All that to save approximately 10 minutes at the store.

💯 Every time I go to the grocery store, I avoid self checkouts for this reason: taxes. Self checkouts don't contribute payroll taxes that fund programs like Medicare, Social Security, etc. Also, when I'm elderly I'm going to want them funded too. So I'm also a bit selfish.

And yet the customers would still complain they didn't get their orders just to get free food. But at least I wouldn't be spending as much time driving. Sadly, that's a win-win.

It'd be cool if I could teleport orders into customers' mouths. That'd speed up the delivery process by at least an order of magnitude. Customers wouldn't have to open their doors, open the packaging, or lift the orders to their mouths. @DoorDash @UberEats @Grubhub

Gig Workers juggle the demands from the platforms, the customers, and the merchants (all of them simultaneously) while driving as safely as possible. There should be a College/University degree in Gig Work.

Shorter delivery radiuses improve the experience for everyone. The order is more likely to stay the same temperature throughout the drive & is less likely to spoil on the way to the drop off location. Dashers & Merchants can fit more orders into their day.

For Dashers who want to switch zones, let them select that from the Home Screen. Then you can show them orders that require them to leave the zone they're in to the zone they want to switch to. But beyond that, they only see orders starting & ending in their current zone.

Don't show Dashers orders that are likely to route them through the neighboring zone, even if the orders start & end in their current zone. Exceptions can be made, but don't rely on exceptions for every delivery. (Then it wouldn't be an exception).

Applied for several canvassing jobs early this morning (2 AM). One responded instantly with an automated response to select a time and date for an interview. The others are looking at my application. I'm hoping I can work all of them simultaneously for at least 2 weeks.
