Not about tech this time: I recently donated some of my stem cells to a patient with blood cancer, who I don't know, somewhere in the world. You too can register yourself to save a life: NL= USA= and Google for other countries

It was lots of fun talking about pg_duckdb on @PostgresFM.
New episode: "pg_duckdb". Michael and Nikolay are joined by @JoeSciarrino and @JelteF to discuss pg_duckdb — what it is, how it started, what early users are using it for, and what they're working on next. 🎧 📺

I've been bashing DuckDB and Postgres together for the past three months. It has been very challenging, but also extremely fun. There's sooo much more to do. But it's already extremely fast for some queries. So here's a v0.1.0 release. Try it out and please report any bugs.
Postgres analytics 10x faster with just an extension?!. Check out our first release of pg_duckdb, an open-source PostgreSQL extension by @hydradatabase & MotherDuck. It's already packed with awesome features! 👀.
