We finally came to the bottom. We did not have to be financially broke, although many of us were. But we were spiritually bankrupt. We had a soul sickness, a revulsion against ourselves and against our way of living. Life had become impossible for us… Not anymore. #12Steps 🙌

My first sober family dinner was on Easter Sunday. I had forgotten how good food tasted with a healthy palate and taste buds. It is a meal I will never forget thanks to the program. #AlcoholicsAnonymous #GratitudeAttitude #Blessed #12Steps

For me #AlcoholicsAnonymous is freedom from the bondage of self. Salvation from demons worse than hell. Living life on life’s terms happy joyous and free. Because of #AA I have shitty days, but no longer do I have a shitty life. I am not cured, but I am recovered. Much #gratitude

We needed to ask ourselves but one short question. “Do I now believe, or am I even willing to believer, that there is a Power greater than myself?” As soon as a man can say that he does believe, or is willing to believe, we emphatically assure him that he is on his way… P. 47
