Hats off to @E_N_O for a marvellous dress rehearsal of Blue today. This is the highlight of the 22/23 season for me. I loved the staging/ projections and casting. Stand out performances from Nadine Benjamin and Kenneth Kellogg! I might have to go again β¦

Iβm very proud to have played on 26 Glyndebourne Tours taking opera to Edinburgh, Liverpool, Manchester, Sheffield, Stoke, Norwich, Oxford, Milton Keynes, Plymouth, Southampton, Canterbury, Dublin, etc. We once did a week in London. Wonderful company. Very sad.

@jessicaduchen The @ace_national have cut opera by 32% and they have admitted to me in an FOI request they did this with no market analysis of opera nor impact assessments for or consultation with the organisations they defunded. This is very poor practice by highly paid public servants

Last night, reading in bed, I realised Ive been doing this for 30+ years. My late mum used to tell me to turn off light. Id say OK, then use torch to read under covers. Lately, I get feeling people are so tired, this ritual is dying out. Hope others still read before lights out?

Took 14 year old daughter to @E_N_O for the first time today. Her reaction to the building, the orchestra, the opera and the performers was wonderful to see. Such an asset in London - especially as tickets for under 21s are free, we need to protect it #LoveENO #ChooseOpera
