Stack overflow is on it's last breath, but unfortunately they had it coming. They didn't fix harassment of beginners. They didn't update their model when Discord communities started to take off. They didn't protect against AI scraping. They didn't train LLMs on their data.

Phew, finished Clean Code by @unclebobmartin Half of it I've blasted through, other half was a doozy. The best takes are "shy code" and TDD, and the worst takes are "test coverage" and "replacing switch/case with polymorphism". Overall good historical read

Question for everyone: do you really rely just on one webhook in your backend to handle payed subscriptions?

The best feature of Nuxt 4 comared to Nuxt 3 is that they finally fixed autoimport typegen and now you follow into a component on Option+Click !

Wrong. People want tutors, achieve goals. Duo is almost the same ai as any other one, they survive because of their reward-based UX. But the future is for live-tutor based apps, their UX is just not up to par π€¦

Always measure for output value. I can make a huge refactor or update that will do nothing while a small npm install may reduce pipeline time by 90%. Make developers chase value and make this value clear! Amount of your users, their retention, cycle times should be visible!

Just heard from Jenna Butler of Microsoft on @techleadjournal that "measuring commit count and lines of code is good performance metric". ITS NOT! It's one of those toxic metrics that developer will chase.

AWS billing is no more! Was tired of constant VPS bills so moved all my servers to serverless. So cheap it's like I'm not even paying anything!

Disagree, I hate PHP because it's the most SQL injected lang of all time no other lang would let you write index.php and then an SQL query on the first line. The pattern is just bad and scales bad as well.
The real reason most devs hate PHP isnβt the language, itβs the fact that it still works in 2025 and outperforms half your favorite frameworks. People love to hate it, but ignore that it still powers massive parts of the web.

Yale format can go, it's just less coherent. You tell me which is better.

Again LeetCode, but some of their questions are great. 311 for example is amazing - multiply two matrices, should be easy, but they're sparse, so now you can optimize for space and have a list of tuples instead of full matrices. In image below you only need 4 tuples!

Installing "scotty" (express-like framework) for Haskell with "stack" (package manager) took around 15 minutes...
