Emeritus Professor Tom Lyons was my PhD supervisor, a mentor, and friend. A great loss to the community, decades of service at @MurdochUni, he taught thousands of students, and contributed a great deal to better understand how the land and atmosphere interact, you will be missed.

Marking 2nd year atmospheric science reports, apparently there is such a thing called a radioactive temperature inversion. A whole semester of teaching, and that's what they write, soul destroying. And the profile did not even have an inversion of course. .
