It's not harder to review AI code. Code is code. It takes longer because you didn't write it in the first place and so you need to go through more of it to understand the 'why' first. This extra time often negates the benefit of vibe coding which is why I always keep my AI
an interesting update: the team is starting to move away from AI coding completely (devin/claude/etc) because it's so much harder to review the AI code than writing things themselves

We really only have about 2-3 weeks left in the year, Thanksgiving and Christmas / New Years are pretty much a wash. How do you wrap up your business year? I'll go first:

It's very rare in business and in life that everything is going well together and that everything is going bad together. Usually it's some combination of ups and downs. This is why it's so important to have several (maybe even a dozen) different opportunities running in

Why silo problems persist in 2025: Hype rushed AI into rigid orgs, with 55% of execs investing heavily, but buy-in and rollout remain weak. No cross-team alignment? You’re brewing sabotage. Tease: One audit flips it into fuel. Article drops tomorrow.

Are your best people leaving for competitors? Silos aren't just annoying, they're crippling plans and progress. Bigger hit? New AI initiatives should propel you forward, but instead they're causing massive headaches. Sound familiar?

I'm so tired with all the hype and help about leadership. It's really simple actually, to be a leader you must have followers. Without them, you are not a leader. That's all you need to know about leadership.

Quick flashback: Pre-AI, ERP rollouts tanked on the same silo problems and cost millions. The '90s legacy lives on. Now genAI amplifies it: IT gatekeeps harder while people work outside the process. Fallout? Pilots in purgatory, ROI in the red. If you're nodding, Thursday's deep

Why new tech really fails: It's not tech failure, it's turf war. Silos put IT against Ops leaving only finger pointing and delays. Execs chasing hype without vetting ideas? they're funding the fracture. Unpacking the origins in my next article. What's your biggest silo headache?

Ever spent millions on enterprise software consultants? Silos turn collaboration into combat, and I’ve seen it firsthand. Ops demands certainty and process, IT demands security, execs demand results. No one wins. If this hits home, the politics behind it are worse than you think.

Listen up, you pencil-necked geeks! Monday mornin’ reality check comin’ atcha like a steel chair to the skull! Your fancy AI pilots? DEAD ON ARRIVAL, brother! IT’s huggin’ that data tighter than I hug these 24-inch pythons, while ops ghosts the whole damn rollout harder than I

Monday reality check: AI pilots are DOA because IT treats data like Fort Knox, while ops teams ghost the rollout. Result? That “game-changing” tool collects dust. 42% of execs say AI is fracturing their teams. Yours?

You know what the hardest thing about building is? It's when you learn something that requires a rebuild of almost everything. When just starting out and trying to find market fit, this happens all the time. You can't avoid it, just have to learn to enjoy the process.

How early do you put up holiday decorations and when do you take them down? I'm just after Thanksgiving until just after New Year's.
