The Army has only gone through changes on this scale 2 or 3 times in 250 years, it's really cool to be playing even a small part in these efforts.
The Army Transformation Initiative is bold, necessary, and happening now. We're divesting the outdated equipment to invest in lethal, next-gen warfighting tech—like drones, weapons systems, tactical vehicles & comms—fast, not decades from now. ATI will keep our @USArmy lethal and

Interesting IO side effect of everything going on in the world is the extremely pro-Ukraine side of Twitter hates POTUS so much they openly aligned with the left to such an extent that they are now pro-crime.

Every single legitimate aspect of the argument is actually an argument for real reform within the cyber components of DOD and the IC, not creating more bureaucracy.

We're actually not all that great at joint operations if we're being honest. There is no reason (besides a craving for more special interests and bureaucracy) for anyone to think creating yet another service will make this any better, especially in a domain where we lag behind
🛡️Only a Cyber Force can generate the human and technical resources the nation requires to fight and win the conflicts of today and the wars of tomorrow. Read the full monograph from @MarkCMontgomery and @eborghard here:

"The destruction of Native American culture" is one hell of a loaded phrase. This kind of Marxist historicism is how we came really close to the Army having to apologize for the entirety of the Indian campaigns, and therefore USG saying it never should have settled the West.
The Trump administration is reviewing material about slavery, the destruction of Native American culture, and climate change at federal parks after employees flagged information that could be "disparaging" to Americans.

While I think this piece covers a lot of ground, I do NOT agree creating a dedicated Cyber Force solves any of these problems when the issues around culture especially will likely just get cross-pollinated to the new force at a time we cannot afford to spend years generating a

I'll admit I think the return to "War Department" is cool and sends an important signal. At the same time, it'd be nice if we could hold the people who lose wars through incompetence and dishonesty accountable. That would send a much stronger message.

If we're *only* doing merit and performance does that mean the arbitrary and archaic PME requirements are gone too?

"Presence" is literally a doctrinal term related to both leadership and establishing troop positions. The presence is both a task and purpose. But what do I know I never got to wear three stars🤷♂️

I want to recognize the six heroic @3rd_Infantry Soldiers who acted without hesitation. In the face of danger, they ran toward it—risking their lives to stop the shooter and protect their fellow brothers and sisters in arms. Their swift, selfless actions stopped the bloodshed

Surely the Chinese would never risk thousands of men and a really expensive piece of equipment to achieve their goals! We could just sink their barge! Brother, have you read any Chinese history?

This kind of analysis worries me because yes, these things require a generally permissive shore, and yes, they'd be very fragile and a massive target when contested, but if China is willing or able to deploy several of these, their willingness to disregard casualties makes Russia

I guess I continue to not understand the obsession with some kind of megacity urban combat where the city is anything other than a rubble-strewn death trap. One of the first things go is always utilities/sanitation, why would WiFi still work?

I really want to see what sustained urban combat, the kind where you're fighting house-to-house and key features are changing hands or being destroyed, looks like when WiFi and Bluetooth are still somehow working.
"Where individual smart city technologies are taken into consideration, they usually are presented as potential advantages for US and allied forces. This suggests a one-sided and potentially overly optimistic perception."
