Recently heard the sad news that my only brother died. Many rejected by their families never hear news of loved ones, but I did via Facebook. I won’t be allowed to attend the funeral instead will grieve silently & stand by the choices I made with dignity.

Reflecting on my decision to leave a forced marriage aged 16. I figured I had very little to loose and everything in the world to gain. Most importantly in my 53 year old self, my children will never inherit a legacy of abuse, because of that decision.

Jagdeesh Singh sadly passed away today. A warrior who spoke up for his sister who was tragically murdered in India, her husband/mother-in-law were convicted. He campaigned for government to fully investigate ppl killed abroad. He broke silences of many & will never be forgotten.

I submitted myself to a process that was adopted by Lord Lester, my complaint was upheld. These are NOT allegations, they ARE findings of a report by Parliament. The Inquiry was investigated at 3 Tiers & all evidence was tested. I won’t be silenced now.
