2 NYPD cops were arrested for allegedly stealing a sex worker's keys, then entering her apartment to rob and grope her. There is a long, documented history of NYC cops weaponizing their badges to target sex worker. This is one of the reasons we need sex work decrim

Our op-ed on how the Kids Online Safety Act will give the next administration too much power to chill disfavored speech. Governments are already welding this power to target LGBT speech, CRT, abortion speech, etc. we need data privacy protections, not KOSA https://t.co/4gnV7QhWN5

More state's should follow Montana's lead by adopting explicit constitutional amendments that protect the right to privacy. I'd love to see NY add a constitutional amendment with explicit, robust protections for data privacy

Bodily autonomy wins in Montana! Montana's Supreme Court just UNANIMOUSLY struck down a law that allowed parents to veto their child's abortion. "A minor's right to dignity, autonomy, and the right to choose are embedded in the liberties found in the Montana constitution."

Supervised consumption sites are WAY safer than bars. Bars serve the drug & are incentivized to over-serve; SCS’s don’t. Bars don’t have medically-trained staff on standby; SCS’s do. Bars have bouncers that escalate violence by assaulting intox. patrons; SCS’s don’t. Bars

The worst outcome of the presidential debate is that it's taken attention away from SCOTUS obliterating the administrative state and enabling localities to criminalize homelessness.

The Venn diagram of gays who complained about banning cops from pride and gays that were munching on vegan finger foods at @NYCMayor's Pride reception as he threatens to defund HIV/AIDS programming by $5.3M is just overlapping circles.

Sex workers have been the canaries in the coal mines for years about the harms of censorship, and specifically attempts to revive the Comstock Act. If you care about repro rights, online speech, etc., sex worker rights should be your issue https://t.co/GaDhWCGIGl

Sandra Day O'Conner was no moderate. Beyond Bush v Gore, she signed on to a horrifically homophobic decision, green lit states executing kids & people with intellectual disabilities, weakened abortion rights, affirmative action & Miranda, & then retired to give us Alito

Most Americans have no conception of how many civilians died as a result of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. This same indifference to human life is repeating itself. The attack on Israel was a tragedy. It doesn't justify the massacre of civilians in Palestine.

Don't get it twisted, this robo-cop will not replace cops. It will subject New Yorkers to constant surveillance and be used to justify hiring more cops. All while NYC is defunding supportive programming that actually stabilizes communities and reduces crime

Mayor Adams proudly compared the costs of the robo-cop to that of a human transit cop: The city is leasing the robot for $9-an-hour. “This is a good investment of taxpayer dollars. This is below minimum wage, no bathroom breaks, no meal breaks.” https://t.co/vBRDMBr6tL

Brave activists in Atlanta have been organizing to #StopCopCity. Now some face outrageous RICO conspiracy charges brought by the Georgia AG. These RICO charges are a threat to protesters everywhere. That's why we're raising money for their legal defense. https://t.co/ThFLgsTYR1

NY's legislature has failed to pass the Youth Interrogations Act @Right2RemainSi1, legislation that would prevent cops from coercing false confessions from kids. NY is making a policy choice to put more kids in the same position as the Exonerated 5. Trump's mugshot isn't justice

"Trump's indictment is justice for the Central Park 5" is an AWFUL take. There are virtually no parallels between a rich senior citizen who walks into the police station with his lawyer, & poor black kids that were detained for hours & coerced into false confessions + denied bail
