š£Free contraception in BC starting April 1st! Questions on what's covered, check out this link for a pretty good overview of the program: https://t.co/UjdT5dCeZP (Also if you pay for birth control, and are due for a refill, only get 1 month now, then it will be free next month)

Great news, especially for those without access to family physicians or nurse practitioners.
We were pleased to host the announcement of cervix self-screening in BC today! As of Jan. 29, women & people with a cervix can order a quick, easy & highly accurate test kit to use when & where they feel comfortable, including in a providerās office. More: https://t.co/NeH2vVjyQo

I really appreciate the new carving that is now featured along the rail trail! Great to see some thinking outside of the box by the @cityofkelowna to get more art into the community.

š¢Big Pharmacare news, OAT meds now fully covered! "Opioid agonist treatment moves to Plan Z ... OAT regular benefits are now covered under the 100% coverage plans C, G and Z. ... Adding OAT to Plan Z improves access to opioid use disorder treatment as there is no deductible"

BC prescribers, please remember that Lolo is NOT a Pharmacare benefit (along with Nuvaring, Evra, and Seasonale). Tip: sub Seasonale with 4x 21day MinOvral pks with a week break and you now have the same estrgen/progestin that's covered by Pharmacare.

There is an amoxicillin suspension shortage in Canada. The easiest option is to dose in 250mg increments when suitable, and the capsules can be opened and sprinkled onto soft food. Clavulin is another option, but more nuanced, see below if that is your prescribing preference.

For all the BC OAT prescribers out there: in case you missed it, Sublocade no longer requires a special authority!

Such exciting news - free contraception in BC starting April 1st!! š„³ Glad to see this is finally happening.
Big news! Starting April 1, British Columbia will become the first province to offer free prescription contraception for women, transgender and non-binary people, covering birth control products, IUDs and Plan B emergency contraceptives. https://t.co/rQ1SCckE4Z

It's unbelievable that we as fans can't support the teams though simple merchandise purchases ... this has been a long time issue. What can fans do to show our support for the team in this current situation?
Care about prep for World Cup? - donāt cut budgets/camps/rosters/staff Care about fans? -Schedule a home game. Sell merch.

Well I got denied, but they wrote me a letter, and I did learn something. Apparently if med prescribed by someone with a collaborative agreement in place, then future prescribers don't need one for coverage... I've had major problems with this in the past soš¤ on this update.

What are the chances of getting this collaborative prescribing agreement approved? I can't adapt an Rx and have it covered for patients with the current system. #BCPharmacare

Joining my prescriber friends in their Special Authority angst tonight. SA not approved because "spironolactone is available"... except it's not! Multiple fax and phone calls later it was finally approved, but I wasted 45min of my time, not including time already spent by the MD.

#Tylenol dose is 75 mg/kg/DAY max please and consult a #pharmacist if unsure. Give every 4-6 hours and dose child by their weight. Do not attempt to cut coated tablets or extra strength for wee ones unless you have to. Double check calculations or let us tell you what dose š

People are freaking out over the kids Tylenol shortage. You donāt need to be. Hereās an option. Buy 500mg adult tablets Put them on a hard surface Press down on each edge to split (250mg) Do it again to 1/4 (125mg) Crush + mix with jam, give it to the kid on a spoon
