I am sorry to keep sharing this, but I remain astonished that such aggressive behaviour was tolerated, that his misogyny was unchecked and that @bbcquestiontime has not yet apologised for its failure to protect another female guest from misogynist abuse. #bbcqt.

My daughter sent this to me this morning. I don't think I've ever felt so moved, or so like I've managed to do something right as a parent. She is 17, a young adult. Confident and capable. I love the bones of her. #camhs2019

I've been binge watching the series #couplestherapy. It gives great insight into couples work. But I tell you what. It really exposes the yawning gap between "trauma informed" and "domestic abuse informed" and makes it very clear why ordinary couple therapy isn't for survivors.

Can we make sure black and other minoritised women remain centered as we #ReclaimTheseStreets ?.

I can't believe @BBCNews is trying to hang the increase of depression and anxiety on social media. What about recession, poverty, underemployment, poor future prospects for young people. ? . No, it's the internet bogeyman. Obviously.

@ericjames_phd I did my PhD part time whilst working full time. Data collection was longitudinal over 2.5 years. I had a baby and a divorce along the way. I completed in 6 years and am proud of that. I'm also now a full professor. There are many routes, and many different ways to do success.

@flying_boatman @rose_h_s Now this one I do have a retort for and have used most effectively:. "Go for it mate. Let's see which of us ends up in prison.".

Do any of my friends agree that it is hard to believe that an academic of @drvicclarke's international stature still isn't a professor? . What's that about @UWEBristol ?.

You see a man who regularly has underage girls in his โentourageโ, and your question to him is is โis it wise?โ .No. You are part of the problem. These men are privileged, powerful monsters. #Dispatches.

If a white girl had been groomed, married off to an older man, forced to have babies who died in exile. no matter how reprehensible her actions she would be given a reasonably sympathetic hearing . Wtf is wrong with the UK? . #ShamimaBegum.

Shocked by the decision of the editors of qualitative research to publish a "study" in which the author describes himself masturbating to images of child sexual abuse. It reflects very poorly on the Journal, the editors and on the Publisher. @QRJCardiff. @SAGE_Methods.

@jrc1921 This is absolutely appalling. You have no idea the impact this has on students. Iโve supervised students who were forced by financial issues to leave their children at home whilst they studied. Itโs a source of constant distress. It also violates a basic human right to family.

Women and men attempt suicide at roughly equal rates. Tragically men die more often because they use more violent methods. This is a tragic consequence of masculinity training. Be aggressive. Don't talk about "soft" emotion. Patriarchy wounds men. #InternationalMensDay.

Children will be included in the statutory definition of domestic abuse. Years of research and lobbying finally bringing about this huge change. Proud to have played a role and for the tireless work of AFC, @womensaid and all the other charities involved.
After a long campaign, weโre so pleased the government listened and has ensured the Domestic Abuse Bill will recognise children as victims of domestic abuse in their own right:

@allisonpearson She went back to college. Who better to fight for better access for working class children and young people than someone the system so spectacularly failed, and who struggled back from that to be so successful?. I'm very proud of her. I'd be surprised if anyone wasn't.

@SirRianna @NicolaSturgeon Because the 4 nations approach meant Scotland waited for the balls up of the English app to be worked through before it threw its hands up and went its own way. using established technology instead of trying to be "world beating".

Is this a sick joke? Decimated services, and people with mental health difficulties feeling bullied and terrified of the sanctions regime?. I don't think green light bulbs are really going to fix that.
Last night we lit Downing Street in green to mark the start of #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek. We must all work together to make sure that looking after our mental health is as natural and positive as looking after our physical health.

Eek! @BBCBreaking talking about the importance of recognising children are victims of domestic abuse, not victims. I feel SO PROUD that my hard work on this is filtering through. I'm so excited that WA, Action For Children and NSPCC have pushed so hard on this. Change is coming!.

So many people being horrible about elvis costello on #GrahamNortonShow tonight. I loved it. Ageing voices, mature musicians are glorious. Costello. Cohen. Cash. Heart. Soul. Years.

The abuse this woman is experiencing is unacceptable. Newsflash people: it is possible to disagree with a woman without descending into the worst kinds of misogynist abuse. And no. It is never "just a slap" and it is never OK.

@DrProudman This is a practice only in incredibly elite and expensive restaurants. I guess if people have enough money to dine there, nobody at the table really needs to worry their heads, pretty or not, about it. Perhaps not an โeveryday sexismโ thing for most of usโฆ.

@grannylovekin @Finn_Mackay @bbcquestiontime She doesn't need it, but in civil debate it should have been offered. What he did should not have been permitted, and allowing it to pass unmoderated and unchallenged normalises it.

Wow, these attacks on people for using the titles they earned are quite the thing. And almost always targeted at WOMEN professionals. Sorry your five a side mates are ignorant of the way titles work. Do you worry too when consultants call themselves Mr?.
โCons Acute Frailtyโ - dropping both the physiotherapist and practitioner part of the title and then using a Dr title in your handle is nothing but misleading, intentional or unintentional. Showed this to my 5-a-side friends who all thought this was a medical doctor.

@suzypuss Very few couples therapists really understand domestic abuse, and the emphasis on a three way working alliance in couples work can really play into abusive dynamics, and risk re-victimising the victim.
