You can try this out yourself. Record your face and try to move your eyes smoothly while looking at a blank wall. Then try recording yourself again, but make your eyes follow one of your fingers as you move it around smoothly. Big difference.

Human eyes usually only move smoothly when tracking an object. They prefer to dart from target to target. In the 2015 capture, this is properly portrayed and the eyes stay eerily focused on the camera. The 2024 eyes are unfocused and wander slowly, which is uncanny.
