Lovely event last night in Topping in Ely. Discussed which Jane Austen novel we were introduced to in school, whether it thoroughly put us off or made us young fans. Of course we’re all fans now —or we wouldn’t have turned out on a wet night!.

CUP is arranging an audio version of 'Living with Jane Austen'. Very pleased! .Thrilled to find my interviewer at the Oxford Literary Festival on Sunday 2 pm is Suzi Feay. She interviewed me years back at Dartington on my biography of Fanny and Mary Shelley.
