What’s crazy is Biden got bailed out by a Trump judge who clerked for Thomas. He can now end an unpopular mask mandate without taking responsibility or alienating allies. If the WH was so irate about the ruling, it could’ve immediately said it’s asking CA11 for a stay. It didn’t
Haha. Nope. You’re not doing that straw man crap with me. I said it was wrong to paint all these judges with a broad brush as unqualified, wrong to say Republicans don’t take judges seriously. That is factual and something everyone should be aware of

In a poignant tradition that dates back to 1873, the Court has draped Justice Ginsburg’s chair and part of the bench with black wool crepe, in memoriam. A black drape also now hangs over the doors into the courtroom.

This is true and long has been. A decade ago I got death threats, threats to my kids etc on this medium. So you stop reading replies and remember the key rule: Don’t talk to crazy people.
You have valuable things to say. Don’t let them silence you. And find dialogue elsewhere.
Twitter can be great for information exchange and journalism. But it also allows harassment and bullying, especially targeted to women.
There needs be space for civil exchange of ideas, policy debates, and sharing of research without name-calling, threats or personal attacks.
Jalen Hurts is the hero we need— but especially young athletes. When things don’t go like you plan, you don’t quit or transfer. You keep working. A true testament to the power of perseverance, grit and integrity. Thank you

Actually, Matt, polling shows the mask mandate is unpopular with a majority of the American people. Also unpopular with the major airlines and a flight attendants union, and with the US Senate, which recently passed a resolution to end it. But hey, you do you.
A CBS News correspondent is claiming the mask mandate was “unpopular” because she didn’t like it
CBS News is allowing and encouraging its reporters to express Republican views since hiring Trump official Mick Mulvaney and falsely identifying him as a journalist on the air
Very little Democrats can do, after making one of the biggest political blunders in modern history—squandering the filibuster on the SCALIA’s replacement. Moderate Rs were less likely to support nuclear option w/ AMK successor.

we are living a moment in history: “The Court postponed scheduled arguments for October 1918 in response to the Spanish flu epidemic...also shortened its argument calendars in August 1793 and August 1798 in response to yellow fever outbreaks.”
8/ But in the US at the appointed hour we get some complete bozos making stupid jokes while the mayor dances around. And then finally the big countdown...to what? A “crystal” ball you can’t even see bc of all the ads and neon billboards that literally are there EVERY DAY
Photos of the people kidnapped by Hamas are plastered in the NYC subway.
Post the photos of our missing families everywhere. Don’t let anyone claim they didn’t know.
Every year there are fewer and fewer or these men left. Please take a moment to hear 98-year-old D-Day veteran Ray Lambert’s memories of that day—and say thank you. Their courage, perseverance and sacrifice saved our world.

Dismissing those judges as political hacks is a disservice and cheapens our discourse. And a Yale-educated lawyer not looking to score cheap political points should know better
“And suicide attempts among girls have skyrocketed during the pandemic.”
(Children’s MN is the 7th largest pediatric health system in the country)
“Our peers nationwide are reporting the same.”

How can anyone seriously call this a boring debate because we don’t have any “moments.” This is what we should hope for in a debate. Two smart people with deeply held, differing views. I am so tired of “moments” dictating what is news
Imagine just one person being held hostage in the US by Hamas. It has 200. TWO HUNDRED babies, toddlers, teenagers, mothers, fathers and grandparents. ripped from their homes after they saw Hamas brutally murder the people they love.
Are the atrocities too much to process?
Hamas is holding 200 people hostage. They are holding babies as young as 5 months through to Holocaust survivors as old as 95.
Now is a moment for moral clarity. There is NO justification for these crimes.
Silence is complicity. Demand Hamas free the hostages.…
Look at the other countries. Their amazing displays. So majestic. So beautiful. We in the USA once again SUCK because someone in TV decided to we have to show the ad-driven NYC LAME ASS ball drop instead of the AMAZING fireworks shows all over this great country. Pathetic
