Just saying “the COVID-19 vaccine is good” is not enough. Medical interventions should be based on data. We need evidence on the benefits and risks. Especially for low-risk, healthy children. Many of whom are already immune to COVID-19.

As Surgeon General, I cannot recommend that healthy children receive the COVID-19 vaccine. When their overall risk is low, & there is a higher than anticipated rate of serious adverse events in clinical trials, it is unclear if benefits outweigh the risks...
