Stumbled onto Nanci in the early 80’s while in College station, and became a huge fan. After CS I landed in Austin and have been here for many years … wondering what it was like to grow up in Austin during Nancy’s time. RIP.
Nanci Griffith and I stopped by a College Station, Texas, radio station in the fall of 1978 where I snapped this shot of her through the control-room glass. She always encouraged me. My career and life wouldn’t be the same without her. I’m so sorry we lost her.
