btw, I'm not talking about sora 2 stuff, I'm talking about finishing up the last 20% polish of the render. For context, you could use a single consumer GPU and run WAN2.2 (open source) on your computer to just polish the noise, flickering and final details of the render.

the question is, do you think it would be bad if somehow there was an option to click "AI render" that is 10x faster then path tracing with the same results? like a denoiser pro max. wouldn't that be the perfect use of the technology, helping artists with their actual craft?

For context, I used a Render farm, rendering with cycles in blender in an optimized scene. The question is if it would be good or bad to have some kind of AI render for these kind of 3D workflows. something that renders your 3D scene realistically with control.

is using AI actually better for the environment then rendering theoretically? I'm creating this realistic Minecraft video and just these 4 seconds took more than 50h of render time. for comparison, AI could render 1 one minute video with like 20 min of compute. 1500x faster.

almost a month of work for 1 min of animation, so I made a movie style poster for it.
