Unreal! Brick takes the lead with 11 seconds left in the 1st half on this penalty kick by Giano Godenzi, who is subsequently given a yellow card for cursing in celebration. Sensitive crew it seems. Halftime Brick 2 Long Branch 1

It’s been a well played first half by both sides but slight advantage to long branch locking up defensively since that equalizer and generating good looks like this one 8 mins left in the 1st half

And Long Branch strikes first! The Green Wave capitalize on a miscommunication and Matheus Lopez takes an open shot that ricochets into the goal Long Branch up 1-0 with 33:12 left in the first half

Checking in from Long Branch on this first day of the Shore Conference Tournament! It’s an exciting opening round duel as the 10-2-1 Green Wave host 9-3 Brick Township in a great matchup of two resurgent programs. I’ll have updates here as the start is a couple minutes away

This is too dismissive and not really accurate. Adidas agreed to deals worth over $115 million with Nebraska and Washington a few years ago Penn State is a way bigger brand than those, conservatively closer to $200 million even if it’s below the rumored $300 million
The adidas contract with Penn State doesn't even go into effect until the summer of 2026, and they're not dropping fifty million in cash on anybody. That's around the neighborhood of what Penn State might get over the *entire length of a shoe deal*, not up front!

A lot of attention on the Blue Jays and M’s as expansion mates from 1977, but much more compelling is the possibility of a Seattle vs. Seattle World Series in which the Mariners play the Brewers, who originated as the Seattle Pilots

FINAL: Mariners 3, Blue Jays 1 After giving up a home run on the first pitch he threw, Bryce Miller and three relievers gave up one hit the rest of the game to steal a road win in Game 1 of the ALCS. Cal Raleigh homered, Jorge Polanco drove in two and Seattle got a huge win.

The Monmouth Machine keeps rolling! They’ve scored 40+ points in 5 out of 6 games. The other was *only* 35 points.

Recap is up! @MUHawksFB improves to 5-1 with a different approach on the road to beat Towson 42-31 As usual, I’ll add some more detailed analysis tonight and a quick look ahead to next week’s home matchup against Stony Brook https://t.co/BVNrs4mc57

The Hawks built an early lead with two forced fumbles in the first half and demonstrated enough grit to beat a feisty Towson squad on the road 42-31.

I expect I’ll have my recap of Monmouth-Towson at about 7 pm this evening. Exciting to write about how the Hawks showed different sides to their football identity as they avenge last year’s home loss to the Tigers and continue to stay rolling at 5-1
