Fascinating to hear about this approach, as I’ve heard plenty of rumblings about this on the recruiting trail and the cascading effect of offers. I’ll admit, I also do feel somewhat validated that a coach as good as Campbell evaluated Elijah similar to how I had him graded!

I broke down all 17 of Monmouth’s recruits from yesterday’s signing day, a class loaded with some really exciting sleeper prospects that could turn into the Hawks’ next generation of breakthrough stars. It’s time to look to the future, and it’s looking bright at the Shore! ⬇️

Final CBA 4 St. John Vianney 2 Lancers gave a little upset scare to the reigning Non-Public state runner-up, but the sheer ability of the Colts was too much as they seized control with 3 goals in the first 5 minutes of the 3rd period

SJV will have one final opportunity as CBA was assessed a major penalty with 5:11 left in the game. Initially a 4v4 Lancers down 4-2 with 3 minutes left

And just as I tweeted that, Anthony Brereton gets his 2nd goal of the game to extend the CBA lead to 4-2

And in a span of just over 2 minutes, CBA has shown why they’re a powerhouse as they’ve regained the lead after this goal by Charles Murphy! Colts up 3-2 on SJV with 11 minutes left

And just 23 seconds into the 3rd period, CBA evens things up at 2-2!

The shot totals are staggering. It aligns with what I’ve seen. Incredible performance so far by SJV sophomore goaltender Robert Stimus. Only goal conceded came on a 5-on-3

End of 2 SJV 2 CBA 1 We have a thrilling finish brewing here in Wall! Vincent Baldari with the finish in traffic here for the go ahead goal, and the Lancers are now just 15 minutes away from pulling off the stunning upset

And CBA answers in the 2nd! Matthew Flynn capitalized on the 5 on 3 with the goal 3 minutes into the period for the Colts and that ties it at 1-1

End 1 SJV 1 CBA 0 Wow SJV has come out with tenacity and resilience SJV endured about a minute of a CBA power play before the Lancers got a 4v3 advantage and capitalized with a goal by Nicholas Babaoglu Great performance by SJV’s Robert Stimus in goal

And we’re off! And already a physical tone set by both sides

Wow. Very well-deserved. The sky is the limit for Elijah, who is a great young man and of course an electric athlete. A ton of upside as an edge or at tight end, which I actually like more for him given his basketball skillset. He has only scratched the surface of his potential
