Congratulations to Coach Moriarty and his wife Justine on the birth of their 4th child today. Chance Lincoln Moriarty arrived at 1:41pm weighing in at 7 lbs 3 ounces & 19.5 inches long. Mom, Dad, Chance & all 3 siblings are doing well & enjoying the new arrival. Congrats Coach.

Day 4 included some exploring in Quincy, Mass, birthplace of a great lobster roll as well as John Adams and John Quincy Adams

When in Rome, do as the Joey Chestnuts do (and by Rome, I mean New Jersey)

Started Day 3 at Valley Forge- I guess it was fitting that it was cold, blustery and snowing DYK- Valley Forge was the site of the first mass vaccination drive in the US during the Revolution?

Stopped at the Italian Market in Philly for some lunch, right by where Rocky ran by

The @ConstitutionCtr had some great exhibits on the Civil War/Reconstruction as well as the fight for the 19th Amendment

Next stop, the National Constitution Center (easily one of my favorite museums I’ve been to- and yes, that’s me with the Father of the Constitution himself, James Madison, while the boys are with the Ten Dollar Founding Father)

Day 2: Out and about exploring Philadelphia- started at Independence Hall, where it all started and where the two most important documents in the US were created (and yes, that’s me sitting at James Madison’s desk in the OG House of Representatives)

Made it to Philadelphia. Stayed with some family members who live in a house that used to be part of the Underground Railroad

On the road for Spring Break 2022, headed to the east coast- Day 1 included a stop in Pittsburgh for lunch

Today, on the 4th of July, it may be easy to look around and lose hope for our future. But, remember to look to our past. Slowly but surely, we’ve overcome obstacles, made forward progress, and built a better country. If you’re young, keep pushing forward and never lose hope!
