Couple of Cape swings from Yankees third round pick Kaeden Kent. Incredibly smooth operation from the left side and the ability to hit the ball hard to all fields.

Really like what the Pirates did this draft. Eddie King jr has some hit tool questions but it’s plus raw juice and a strong athlete/defender in the OF. The contact numbers are *much* better against LHP. Potentially a Rob Refsnyder type in the 16th round? .

San Fransisco Giants 10th rounder Isaiah Barkett is one of my favorite picks in the draft. Elite hit tool here. 94% overall contact rate, 96% vs fastballs. Handles spin well. More BB than K’s every year in college. Solid performance on the Cape too.

Mason White is a fun pick for the a Red Sox at 143. Hit tool is a concern but one of the premier MIF power bats in the draft. Solid defense at 2B as well.

Yankees just drafted one of my favorite sleepers in the draft in Kaeden Kent. Had him as the 20th best player in the Cape League last summer and could be a valuable utility player.

Loving the Pirates draft so far. Had Easton Carmichael 16th on my Cape rankings last summer and predicted he would be a big riser in ‘25.

My report on the Red Sox third rounder, Henry Godbout. Had him 50 on my board.

Brendan Summerhill and Caden Bodine will be a steal wherever they get picked now.

Love what I’ve seen this summer from Cam Kozeal (@RazorbackBSB). Present bat speed and consistent loud contact. Twitchy defender at 2B. Coming off a Team USA stint.

RHP Dominic Mauro (@GoBearcatsBASE) with some of the more electric swing-and-miss stuff I’ve seen on the Cape this year. Up to 14 whiffs in just a couple innings. Gets one of the premier hitters in the league, Levi Clark, on a hard sweeper here.

Missed the entire ‘25 season due to injury, but don’t forget about @FSUBaseball RHP Cam Leiter. 38% whiff rate in 2024. Mid 90’s fastball with above avg secondaries across the board. Curveball generated 46% whiff and changeup 44%. Cutter was untouchable.

Nice changeup from Tate Mcguire (@WarehamGatemen/@RazorbackBSB) to catch his Arkansas teammate Kuhio Aloy looking on strikes. Mcguire flashed a strong slider and was able to induce weak contact during his 3 innings pitched.
