#Royals manager Matt Quatraro said that Seth Lugo will not pitch again this season. He’s been on the IL since Sept. 4 with a low back strain. “He's not gonna pitch again. It's not getting better quickly enough to do anything meaningful for him to come out here and force it.”

#Royals manager Matt Quatraro said Stephen Kolek is subject to the 15-day minimum to return to the big leagues after his option to Triple-A Omaha this morning — despite the rosters expanding on Sept. 1. So he will not be the pitcher coming up before Tuesday, barring any injury.
