Letby was also a relatively junior nurse, it’s not even remotely within her scope to be able to ascertain the causes of death. Can you imagine if she actually came up with something, like “untreated sepsis”? They would claim that was super suspicious & she’s covering her tracks

In spite of amassing this draw of doom and this exceptional ability to zero in on the suspicious deaths, Breary did not bother calling the coroner or pathologist, who would’ve been able to conduct additional tests based on his suspicions. This doesn’t pass the sniff test at all.

It defies logic that a paediatrician was able to conduct this incredible forensic review on next to no info & correctly and confidently identify the exact sus deaths AND Letby as the suspect. Especially in light of a pathologist finding them non suspicious. It just doesn’t wash

My guess is that it was research of events that Letby was present for. This again demonstrates why it was absurd to allow consultants, who had knowledge of shifts, to select suspicious incidents. Police did nothing to ensure an independent investigation free of confirmation bias

This is such a salient point. Breary claimed to have a drawer of doom containing evidence of Letby’s guilt (in spite of having zero forensic qualifications), yet he conveniently waited until he lost a grievance to go to the police. Why weren’t its contents revealed at trial?

The prosecution falsely asserted that Letby lied about being arrested in her PJs. This was used to characterise Lucy as an untrustworthy liar, desperate for attention. Guilters still cite it as evidence of bad character. It helped her get convicted, thus it’s NEW EVIDENCE!

This is absolutely monumental. The same poll in 2024/23 would’ve had single digit margins for innocence - indeed, I was once someone who fervently believed in guilt. I had two babies in NICU and despised this woman. It was Evans behaviour that made me start looking into it.

Yet people who are invested in Letby’s guilt tell me it’s a fringe conspiracy theory that only a bunch of loons believe. This is in spite of the fact that journalists cannot find a single neonatologist or pathologist to co-sign the insane theories of retired Evans

The parents of the babies are constantly invoked to silence concerns with trial evidence & police/expert misconduct. As if as too distressing, so best let things rest. But I also think of Letby’s parents. And as long as there’s an innocent woman in prison, we mustn’t rest

Imagine raising a gentle and kind child, and watching as the media twist her into a Bond villain. And then you watch the media hail the bullies whose incompetence led to the babies’ deaths, as heroes. Hearing the self appointed “expert” bragging about detecting murder in 10 mins

As a mother, I have so much empathy for the parents of the babies. But, I also feel so sad for Letby’s parents. To watch helpless as your child is destroyed by the legal system, their reputation trashed and life sculpted to fit the “serial killer” narrative? It’s a horror story

The growing chorus of scientists, doctors, statisticians & investigators expressing concerns about the junk science used to convict Letby can no longer be ignored. This can no longer be dismissed as a fringe conspiracy theory. It must be referred back to the court of appeal.

People who believe in Letby’s guilt have suddenly become VERY concerned about using the expertise of a single retired expert, and relying solely on their evidence to launch a court case. Can’t make this shit up.

It’s also a cop out to immediately dismiss evidence as unfalsifiable unless it has been articulated in a court & co-signed by a jury. That means nothing can be used to exonerate Letby. Unlike Evans, experts are using a scientific methodology to ascertain causes of death/collapse

Oh, so NOW we’re disregarding testimony from retired professionals? AND we’re discounting anyone’s opinions on Letby’s guilt if they’re “paid to do this work”? Does this include retired Evans, who received a lucrative source of income as a result of finding foul play?

I find it amusing that Dewi continues to be “astonished” at people questioning his findings. Did he really think neonatologists reading about fanciful causes of death like overfeeding of milk & air into the NGT would just fall into line & be like “well I haven’t seen the notes”?
