Busy week on the course. Hard frosts gave us a chance to work on the 10th bunkers (wet area), then onto mowing and leaf control. An iron on the greens this morning too – ready for the weekend ⛳️

Frosty days = chainsaw days! Chance to get stuck into the 8th – clearing sight lines from the tee and bringing more teeing area into play. ⛳️

The course has handled the 60mm rainfall remarkably well, the recent shockwave treatment to greens is no doubt helping,new bunkers puddle free. Big clear up this morning and we’re hopeful of some play tomorrow ⛳️

It’s been a tough November so far, with wet, slippery surfaces and April/May-like temperatures still keeping the mowers busy. Colder temps are on the horizon at last 🙏

The greens are receiving the shockwave treatment today to fracture and decompact the soil, improving drainage. It’s a clean, efficient job with minimal surface disruption ⛳️

As October comes to an end this week, we have continued levelling the 5th tee; the 16th tee had its final level and was seeded; soil was added up to the 10th bunkers; and we carried out mowing, leaf clearance, etc. ⛳️

Another day another pond to dig out, also getting the mowers out before the rain tomorrow, greens holding up well to disease pressure at the moment but please repair your pitch marks ffs! ⛳️

The 6th green is now visible from the yellow tee, with the bank lowered, levelled, and gorse removed. This area will be seeded and allowed to mature back to its original state. The 16th tee has been stripped of turf and extended. After further levelling it will be ready for seed.

The first autumn project is underway, with new bunkers being repositioned on the 10th hole to make it fairer, offer more pin locations, and continue to act as a hazard for errant shots. ⛳️
