Jaguars are key for ecosystem balance but face threats. A study on 15 healthy jaguars found their anesthesia protocol safe and provided valuable cardiovascular data. Heart rates averaged 72 bpm. More research needed.

Study on anesthesia in safari park rhesus macaques shows KM and KD protocols provide quicker, more reliable sedation than KX. No adverse effects observed despite higher doses due to lower bodyweight. Adjusting KX dose may improve its effectiveness.
