(1995) JXTA's very first VALT session took place in Sumner Olson public housing. For 29 years, Juxtaposition Arts has provided arts education, employment, and development opportunities for young people in North Minneapolis.

Did you know? 💡LUMINOUS CURRENT is a large-scale light-based installation designed by JXTA's Environmental Design Lab - a permanent fixture at @guthrietheater (Pohlad Lobby on the 9th Floor) built in 2019 by two JXTA apprentices: Temesgen Besha and D’Angelo Raymond.

Shout out to artists Annie Schiferl and Ben Lohr who donated 50% of ticket sales from their annual Merry Little Cabaret at Bryant Lake Bowl. Your donation of over $1090 covered the salary of two youth apprentices for a month at JXTA!!! Thank to all the artists involved!
